Short+Sweet Sydney farewells Alex Broun
2012 sees the departure of Short+Sweet Sydney’s tireless, long-standing Festival Director Alex Broun, who has moved on to focus on other things - not least of all being his successful writing career as the world’s most produced writer of 10 minute plays. Alex has run the festival for many years and brought in numerous initiatives which have proved to help Short+Sweet become hugely popular, such as the Wildcards, the ten minute time limit, the Gala Final and the People’s Choice voting. His hard work, dedication and the support he’s provided for the thousands of artists involved in Short+Sweet will be sorely missed. You can keep up to date with Alex and read his plays on his website.
Alex will still be involved in Short+Sweet festivals around the world and will continue to run his hugely successful and popular Playwriting Workshops.
