ENTRIES OPEN FOR SYDNEY SHORT+SWEET 2009: *ENTRIES for SHORT + SWEET SYDNEY 2009 ARE NOW OPEN!* Short + Sweet is the largest ten minute theatre Festival in the world. It currently runs in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore and Malaysia and will be launching in Brisbane in August 2009. Each year Short + Sweet produces hundreds of the best ten minute plays from across the globe produced by some of the most talented local actors and directors. Entries are now open for Short + Sweet Sydney 2009 which will be held from January 13 to February 28, 2009 at the Seymour Centre and Newtown Theatre in Sydney.
Fast + Fresh Dance 2008: Fast + Fresh DANCE is happening in November at Parramatta Riverside Theatre. This is is an opportunity for choreographers between the age of 16-21 to create a short work (5 minutes or less) to be performed in the 400 seat Lennox Theatre. The genre of dance work can be of any style- so long as it is innovative and dynamic! This opportunity would particularly suit young artists with a flair for choreography and a passion to perform. Compositions by tertiary undergraduates and HSC dance students are highly encouraged.
