Directors – if you love working with new writers this is the gig for you. If you’ve got loads on and not much time available, this is the gig for you. If you are between projects or have been out of the industry for a while, this is the gig for you. If you are just starting out as a director, or if you are an actor or writer and want to try your hand at directing, this is the gig for you. We are looking for experienced and emerging directors to participate in Short+Sweet Theatre Canberra. The top 10 plays will be performed at the Canberra Theatre Centre Studio, while 10 will be presented as “Wildcards” at The Street. If you are interested please email your CV and a brief outline of the type of theatre you enjoy working on to katie@shortandsweet.org as soon as possible.
Writers, directors and actors participate in Short+Sweet Theatre Canberra on a voluntary basis, but there are prizes and professional development opportunities on offer for winning plays.
Short+Sweet Theatre Canberra 2009 will be held from September 2-5, 2009 at the Canberra Theatre Centre and The Street Theatre. For more information click here
