Submit a Script
Script entries for Short+Sweet Theatre 2012, including Short+Sweet Sydney 2013), are now OPEN.
Any entries received will be considered for the following festivals:
Short+Sweet Auckland 2012
Short+Sweet Bangalore 2012
Short+Sweet Brisbane 2012
Short+Sweet Canberra 2012
Short+Sweet Chennai 2012
Short+Sweet Delhi 2012
Short+Sweet Malaysia 2012
Short+Sweet Melbourne 2012
Short+Sweet Mumbai 2012
Short+Sweet Singapore 2012
Short+Sweet Sydney 2013
For the one entry fee of just AU$20, your script will be considered for the ELEVEN festivals above. Some of the highest-rated scripts from 2011 were performed four or more times.

CLOSING DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED PROGRESSIVELY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. When deadlines for each festival have been finalised, they will be announced on this page.
Basic Guidelines
1. Plays must run for 10 minutes or less.
2. Plays are assessed anonymously so please DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME OR ADDRESS on your script. If you do we will not be able to consider your entry.
3. Plays that have previously been submitted to Short+Sweet may be re-entered.
4. Plays are eligible for all Short+Sweet Festivals where the play has not been previously performed in THE HOST CITY OF THAT FESTIVAL. For example, a play that has been performed in Sydney and Melbourne may still be re-submitted as it is eligible for all other festivals apart from Sydney and Melbourne. Moved readings of plays are not classed as a production.
