Abu Dhabi will get its first taste of the world’s largest ten-minute play festival, Short+Sweet, on Saturday May 30th with a whole day of activities designed to inspire local arts lovers to get involved with Short+Sweet Abu Dhabi.
Culminating in a showing of our brand new touring show Shorter+Sweeter – the Best of Short+Sweet Dubai, the day at Abu Dhabi Theatre by the Waterfront is set to be both fun and inspiring. We hope you can join us!
Line-up of activities
11-1pm SHORT+SWEET ACTING WORKSHOP with Liz Hadaway, experienced actress from the UK. Tread the boards at Abu Dhabi Theatre and learn the skills to compel an audience
2-5pm SHORT+SWEET PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP with Alex Broun, world-leading 10-minute playwright. Learn how to write a knockout 10-minute script ready for submission into Short+Sweet Abu Dhabi
5.30-6pm FREE SEMINAR FOR TEACHERS. Learn about our performing arts activities in schools and sign-up for our autumn programme
6pm-7pm FREE INFO SESSION, Introduction to Short+Sweet Abu Dhabi. Join us for a chat about how to get involved in the festival. Whether you want to star as an actor, write a script or direct a play– register your interest now

Tickets for each workshop and the show, AED100 for adults, AED50 for under 18s and students with a valid ID card. FULL DAY PASS AED220 for adults, AED120 for under 18s/students.
