Technical Crew
A variety of positions are available: Assistant Stage Managers, Lighting and Sound Operators, Front of House, even Office and Production Staff are welcome. If you have a skill you’d like to offer, we’d love to hear from you. (*Please note that participation is on a voluntary basis.)
Short+Sweet Theatre wouldn’t happen without the generous support of volunteers, and as such we aim to provide an invaluable experience that they can take with them either into theatre or any high pressure project management environment.
Those backstage at the Top 100 and Wildcards see how 10 different artistic endeavours (and many more egos) can work harmoniously to become a single show, with 30 second change overs and only 45 minutes of technical rehearsal.
Short+Sweet Theatre is also a fabulous opportunity to meet directors, actors, designers and independent theatre companies from which a whole career could develop (and has before!).
Just be aware that for most positions we will require you to be availble for a whole weeks work - which will be a full day of tech rehearsal, 6 evening performances and possibly a saturday matinee.
